On June 30, 2012 with a 104 degree temp. outside the beautiful Fearrington Village was the backdrop to Julie and Doug’s divine wedding. Fearrington Village prepare the amazing cake, exquisite flowers and yummy food. Elegant Ensembles created a wonderful sound for the ceremony music. The talented Barbara Lodge preformed the ceremony. Julie’s beautiful makeup was created by Pam Hung. I had such a pleasure getting to know these two! We did there engagement session at the beach and then I got to meet there dogs for a charity shoot that I was doing. I love their story….Doug and Julie met at a bar one night that was their first date. On their 2nd date they went to a chinese restaurant where Julie received a fortune that read “An unexpected relationship will become permanent” How amazing is that! I love that they included the cookie detail in their reception with a tower of fortune cookies. The floor was always packed with their live band the Carolina Breakers! What an amazing beautiful couple! Thank you for allowing me to share in your joy for the day!

I had the pleasure of photographing Susanne and Steve’s wedding in the beautiful surroundings of the Biltmore Estates. Susanne is someone who is so special to me in my life she has been there with me through some amazing moments. She has found her forever in Steve and his wonderful son Jake. I am so happy I could be there to celebrate and capture such a beautiful event!

I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle at the forever bridal Fall 2010 show. We had their engagement session at UNC campus that is where she and Drew graduated from college. We had so much fun going around the campus finding spots to do their pictures. With such a beautiful couple both inside and out and with the backdrop it was easy to get the images that we wanted.

Their wedding was held at the Stockroom in Downtown Raleigh. Michelle had the room set in Carolina blue and accented in Silver. It was absolutely stunning. The cake was made by Drew’s mom a 4-tiered cake! They said their vows with the rain pouring down outside. Thankfully the rain stopped so we could get some images with Fayetteville Street for the backdrop. Thank you Drew and Michelle for allowing me to photograph your wedding you both such amazing people! Oh I almost forgot! The best part was during the ceremony we all learned how Drew and Michelle met. I am hoping Michelle will write a comment to share with you all how they met. I know I would miss a detail.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca and her family when we photographed her bridal portraits. Set in her childhood home here in Raleigh – it was a beautiful location that included cherished items from Rebecca’s childhood.

When we were finished with her portrait we sat down to discuss her upcoming wedding – a beautiful wedding with seven bridesmaids and groomsmen, two ring bearers, and one flower girl. She was having 200 guests at the Croasdaile Country Club in Durham. Needless to say, I was I was excited!

I met Peter and his groomsmen the day of the wedding and they had fun with their groomsmen gifts- swords!  Rebecca and Peter decided to have a “first glance” before their ceremony to enjoy by themselves before walking down the aisle.

I was excited about photographing their wedding on New Years Eve. They had a elegant beautiful affair planned and the vision they painted came to life on December 31st at 7:30 PM.

Stacy chose a stunning silver gown and black bridesmaids dresses.

The Renaissance Hotel was decked out in modern elegance. There were purple lights that highlighted the ceremony spot and it added a wonderful glow.

We got to hear how they met and how they became a couple. There was a lot of laughter and tears during the reading of how they met.

After the ceremony the bride and groom danced the night away, and at midnight we rang in the New Year! What a fantastic celebration!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Beth and Jeff over a year and a half ago. We did two engagement sessions – one at Duke Gardens and one in downtown Raleigh. I love it when I get to know my clients on that level. They had a beautiful ceremony at Campbell University and the reception was held at the Howard House.

The beautiful flowers were done by Jeffrey Surles. He adorned the stairway of the Howard house with white flower arrangements and elegant feathers! The atmosphere was memorable and exquisite! Congratulations Beth and Jeff!

Amy and Kyle are getting married in the summer of 2011.  We were planning on doing a two-location shoot but got rained out.

It was the first day of the torrential downpour we received from Tropical Storm Matthew.  Our first location was the Raleigh Rose Garden – that is where Kyle proposed to Amy.

We have our next shoot downtown and it is going to be a themed engagement shoot. Did someone say “Mad Men”?

So look for more of Amy and Kyle to come!

The mountains created a stunning backdrop to Philip and Kortney’s beautiful West Virginia wedding!

Kortney adorned in a beautiful cream wedding gown and Philip in a handsome charcoal pin stripped tux with silver vests and silver accents.

Kortney and Philip celebrated 5 1/2 years together as a couple on their wedding day. They said their I do’s at St. Marks in Charleston, West Virginia.

Then we headed to the Capitol of this very quaint city. Perfect lighting for a group shot upon the capital steps made for a perfect start to the reception.

We hopped on the trolley for the short ride to the reception site – Berry Country club that was set on top of a hill and made for a scenic drive up the hill in the trolley.

They danced the night away to the wonderful 7-Piece Santa Cruz Band.

Philip designed the wedding cake and the cake artist created a perfect replica of his drawing.

It was a beautiful, elegant wedding in Charleston!
