I met Jon and Karen last year after a wedding show that they attended. They had just moved down from Seattle or should I say over from Seattle. They are a fabulous couple who planned a wonderful wedding at the Umstead Hotel in Cary. First, we did their engagement session at Duke Gardens. We had a lot of fun and got to know each other before we shot Karen’s bridal portrait at the Umstead Hotel – a perfect backdrop for such an elegant bride.
The wedding took place on May 9th, 2009 at the Umstead. They were planning a gorgeous outdoor wedding and she walked down the isle to the beautiful sounds of Carol Byrne playing the Harp. The reception hall was draped in elegant crystal and beautiful flowers provided by Water Garden Florist. As Jon and Karen start their journey, we wish them the best and thank them for being such a beautiful couple inside and out. We truly enjoyed sharing your day!
